Le Roy is appointed as acting Director of the Society during Chapin D. Foster's leave of absence. "...Upon Mr. Fosters formal retirement on December 31, 1958 Mr. Le Roy will assume that office. Mr. Foster has been designated by the Board as Director Emeritus for life."
