CHAOS was dedicated to finding lost cannons abandoned from battlefields or on sunken ships. They had a particular interest in the Yakima area as there was a rumored cannon left behind during a retreat from Major Granville O. Haller. It's widely believed that the cannon was regained by the US Army, thanks to non-hostile Yakama tribal members who helped the Army find it, but CHAOS was convinced that the abandoned cannon was still out there somewhere.
