The bundle contains the records of a local option election June 28, 1886 along with the petitions signed by the requisite number of voters calling for the election to prohibit sale of liquor within precinct boundaries under territorial local option laws. Records indicate only 473 votes were cast. Most of these were in North Yakima and Yakima city precincts which favored local option by slender margins."NO KNOWN COPYRIGHT The organization that has made the Item available reasonably believes that the Item is not restricted by copyright or related rights, but a conclusive determination could not be made.
