We supposed they were killed by the party of Indians who crossed the Columbia River at the time the gun boat fired into them, while crossing said river. The same party were known to cross the Rocky Ford on the Yakima River en route for Priest Rapids on the Columbia. The man and woman killed were supposed to be in camp between White Bluffs and Yakima City at, or near Rattlesnake Spring. Mr. and Mrs. Perkins were the party killed."NO KNOWN COPYRIGHT The organization that has made the Item available reasonably believes that the Item is not restricted by copyright or related rights, but a conclusive determination could not be made.
