Abstract
"While the book does not deal extensively in the hydroelectric program, it does contain considerable Columbia River Development explanatory material, mixed up with Indians and their problems--the constant problem for many branches of government--. While I would not have use for an extensive amount of pictures, I might be able to substitute several pictures for ones presently included in the manuscript. I have in mind a later shot of McNary, the latest on The Dalles, something of Lake Wallula, in fact, a selection of five or six impressive pictures of your projects. One picture could be illustrative of navigation, not the locks but actual barges showing the amount of cargo possible."
