"Mrs. Bartholet has, with others, always been my very good friend. I have refused, and will continue to refuse, to take sides in any controversy. That is not my purpose in life. Mrs. Bartholet called me for a copy of a letter, and I complied with her request as all others, although this involved personal information. I even emphasized that the letter was no bases for upholding her contention, that it did not cite a specific kind of furniture."
