Abstract
"TOPPENISH--Spokesmen for the 'third un-named' group of Yakima Indians today reaffirmed that the platform and policies of the group are unchanged, and they will attend tomorrow's special session of the General Council or Yakima Tribe for the purpose they originally petitioned the special session be called. Curtailment of Tribal Council authority was petitioned for at last November's General Council. Since a 30 day waiting period was required before a tribal vote could legally be taken, Jan. 6 or Friday was set as date for a special session and the meeting will be open at 6 p.m. in the Satus Long House."
