Abstract
"Lowell came to the Hill in 1918 to work on the 6-P Ranch but didn't stay too long. THat was because his wife (Evelyn Medler who he had married at Wasco, Ore. did like rattlesnakes and insisted on leaving after finding one in the house. The two returned in 1935 to the historic old ranch, owned by the Seufert Bros. of The Dalles in older days and now built up to 3,100 acres. Lowell was born in North Dakota, started out in the garage business with his father. His father sold out and moved to Montana and Lowell was driving a taxicab for his father at Kalispell. He was 10 when he started to drive the taxi. His father sold Model T Fords and Reos in 1907 and 1908."
