Abstract
"There is a book, Reminiscences of an Old Timer by Colonel George Hunter who fought in the Indian Wars around Eastern Washington and later ran a warehouse at Grange City. That was close by the site of Fort Taylor on the Snake Rover, perhaps five miles upstream from Lyons Ferry. Colonel Hunter recounted experiences, having Palouse Indians work for him."
