"Bones, Peter Gibson-Born 1899. Cay-Col. Pal. (Cayuse, -apparently Columbia, Palouse) North Idaho jurisdiction A1. (Allotment 1181) [This is one of the last survivors of the Lyons Ferry band of Palouses. He claimed to be last of the Palouses. The Walla Walla and other papers in Northwest several years ago had stories about it which I disregarded, because I was already on trail of last Palouse then and had concluded that the last fullblood of the 'Palouse' had died.
