Abstract

"May 1889 Moxee Farmer. There is a library and reading room filled with standard works for the forty men employed by the company. One of the neatest and finest looking public school houses in the state, two stories and a basement with a tall tower like steeple has been filled to overflowing with scholars since last September. J. G. Lawrence is the principal with four assistants. Nearly 300 pupils in attendance."
