Abstract
"We the undersigned remnants of the Wanapam tribe known as the Priest Rapids band of Indians who did not benefit by the treaties made by Gov. Isaac Stevens, being now with no place we can call our own, do petition you to take the necessary steps to purchase for us a tract of land embracing our home site and burial ground. Land in this area is valued at from $2 an acre up. Our needs include a permanent home site and sufficient grazing land for our stock."
