"Qui Quylam, a kind of bird, used to be here, no more, but up toward Nespelem. A kind of water bird with long legs and bill, lights and stands in water, smaller than heron or crane. This down from Satus country toward the reservation. Progress of camps of Shatush, progressing from east and south of reservation or Mt. Adams around toward the west."
