Abstract

"On the afternoon of the 9th we had the most destructive wind ever known in this part of our country--miles of post and board fence were blown down--when the posts weren't broken off at the top of the ground the boards were blown off the posts and many broken. The damage done to our fences was great and I think about one thousand dollars."
