Abstract
"The Atahnam Creek and Yakima River form the northern and a portion of the eastern boundary the southeastern, south and western boundaries are indicated by treaty of March 8, 1859, the lines of which are not all plainly marked, and pass through a rough, mountainous country. There are about 240,000 acres of arable lands on the reserve, not more than one-half of which can be irrigated when the streams are as low as they have been this season. All of this land when irrigated, produces good crops of wheat, oats, barley, potatoes and almost every variety of root crops."
