Abstract

"Investigation developed that it was the body of Skamowee, a Yakima Indian who mysteriously disappeared on or about Christmas day. The authorities were notified and the body was brought to the city for purposes of investigation. Skamowee was last seen alone in the company of George Pemps, better known as Young Pemps, when they were about to start on a hunting expedition. Pemps returned alone and had in his possession Skamowee's horse which he claimed to have found, riderless."
