Abstract
"The subject of transforming the Yakima club an incorporated institution, the timely work of which has been of immeasurable benefit to the city, and the county generally, is receiving attention among our business men. A meeting has been called for Tuesday evening in the room of the Yakima club for further consideration of the matter. A reporter interviewed a number of leading merchants. One said: 'The Yakima club has served us well at a time when its social features were dominant, but with them it mingled business in a most judicious way'."
