Abstract
"Colonel Howlett is one of the pioneers of this city. He has always taken a very prominent part in its development. Yakima and valley has had few better boosters or stauncher supporters than the colonel and while the news of his good fortune is a source of much pleasure to his many friends in this city and elsewhere, it is with regret that they contemplate his departure from the place he contributed to much to upbuild."
