Abstract
"Ed Farmer: Some months ago I wrote to some planters in Virginia largely engaged in growing tobacco requesting them to send me tobacco seed. They all responded promptly and I have distributed the same to over 100 farmers. I send you some enclosed. In my opinion it is the coming crop in this section as the climate and soil is especially adapted to its successful cultivation."
