Abstract
"The so-called Ghost Dance religions of the Indians have for long been regarded as one of the most interesting phenomena of latter Indian life. In the religions, cults and dances, the imagination of the native American expressed and recorded its grief over the loss of ancient liberties and pleasures, its indignation and protest against the domination of the whites and the consequent decay of native cultures."
