Abstract

"In regard to this I would respectfully represent that the Yakama Indians are mostly absence from their homes, they are this time of the year busy fishing at the fisheries contigious to the Reservation, others are in the mountains gathering berries or at such places which afford them their nuturtious roots, in short they are scattered, seeking part of their winter supply of subsistence and will not return to the Reservation in less time than a month from now."
