Abstract
"In reply I have to say that such permission will be granted upon condition that one or more responsible citizens of your place will become holden that the said Indian will conduct themselves properly, will abstain from the use of ardent spirits, will not harbor other Indians who are absent from the reservation in violation of law and will not violate any of the laws of the United States or of this state."
