Abstract
"Upon the departure of Mr. R. R. Thompson Ind. Agent for the Wallamette Valley he requested me to take charge of the district during his absence. Since which I have thought best to desire the band of friendly Cayuses encamped in the Walla Wallah valley to remove to the Nez Perce country there to remain until peace is declared or until such period as some other disposition may be advised by yourself."
