Abstract
"You may like one of my mothers booklets from a historical standpoint but more important she helped establish some of the most important facts concerning the Lewis + Clark expedition and the value to them of the little Indian girl Sacajawea. They could have gone no farther when they reached the spot Lewis named Camp Fortunate in Montana (1/4 of a mile below our ranch where I was born and live til 12) unless they could obtain horses from The Indians. The Indians were not friendly in fact plotted to kill the when men until the very dramatic fact developed that Sacajawea was the sister of the Cheif Cameahwait."
