"You might be interested to know that there has been considerable controversy over the location and wording of our historical markers above Wishram on Sign Route 830 on the Columbia River. In an effort to solve the dilemma, we referred the matter to Mr. Bruce Leroy, director of the museum at Tacoma. Bruce wrote back the following reply: 'I'll be damned if I know.'"
