Abstract
"I have always been interested in the Indian history of the area and it is always gratifying to know that someone with your capability is taking it upon himself to record it. The book that you sent me on the Yakima Indians gave me an insight into early life on the reservation which I had not previously been aware of. My nine year old son, who has always been interested in Indians, now has a much greater interest and is looking forward sometime to seeing you and Puck Hyah Toot."
