Abstract
"There is no mention of where he went when leaving this area but it is likely he went north to participate in the final stages of the campaign against the Cayuse and later the Kamiakins and Yakimas. We find no direct reference to his activities until the Civil War in which he fought at Iuka, St. Petersburg and Fort Harrison."
