Abstract

Pollock's harsh critique of the Yakama Indian Agency, as run by Wilbur. Ends with, "it is urged that three Inspectors have preceded me at this Agency, that none of them have condemned, but that all of them have approved and commended Agent Wilbur's method and arrangement. I have been met with similar statements so often at other Agencies that I am beginning to fear neither the Regulations nor the policy of the Indian Office are rightly understood by me, and hence the facts in this case are respectfully submitted without conclusions or recommendations."
