A handwritten report from James H Wilbur, U.S. Indian Agent at Fort Simcoe, W.T., to Gen. T. H. McKenny, who was Superintendent of Indian Affairs for Washington Territory. Wilbur's report addresses the "health, peace, material prosperity, and the moral progress of the Indians under my jurisdiction."

13 pages, handwritten on both sides in ink on 12 3/8 x 7 7/8 inch lined paper. Several pages are joined end-to-end, resulting in a folded 24 3/4 x 7 7/8 inch sheet carrying 4 pages of text.
