Abstract
"They Want a New Bridge. The numerous farmers residing in the Selah and Wenas valleys are very desirous of having a new bridge built across the Yakima at a point somewhere above the 'Taylor' grade. They say that it is an imposition on them and a serious damage to their property interests to be compelled to travel and haul their produce over the dangerous road through the gap every time they come to town. It is estimated that it would cost $9000 to build the new bridge and to move the present Natchez bridge to where it would have to go. Of this amount the farmers to be benefitted are willing to stand one half besides contributing a good deal of labor."
