Abstract
"A Tribute to Innocence. Died--On Sunday, August 19, the infant son of William and Jennie Kincaid, of the Natchez, aged two months and nineteen days. Chester is gone, oh how we miss him;/Gone to share the heavenly home;/There no harm can ere befall him,/ Where pain and death can never come./Mamma, let your heart cease throbbing,/In deep anguish for your child,/For your babe is free from suffering--/This should make you reconciled./Yes, we'll meet you, Chester, darling,/When this troubled life is o'er;/And we'll all be reunited,/On that bright eternal shore. Mrs. Annie Kincaid, Natchez, August 23, 1900."
