Abstract
"Admiral Dewey's belated announcement of his candidacy for the presidency seems to be the joke of the season for there is scarcely anybody in this country aside from the gallant old sea fighter himself and his ambitious wife that will consent to take the matter seriously. It cannot be fairly presumed that Dewey will ever willingly declared himself a candidate."
