Abstract

"Purely Personal. John Lynch came down on Monday night from the Cle-Elum district, where he has a force of men engaged in tunneling in the Lynch group of claims. He says that there is about a foot of snow in that vicinity. J. W. Turner and wife of Sunnyside, were in town on Tuesday. As illustrating the rapid settlement of the Sunnyside country, Mr. Turner in conversation with The Democrat man, stated that in coming to town below Zillah he had counted five new houses either built, or now in course of erection since he had traveled that road a month before."
