Abstract
"Late State News. A survey is being made on the west side of Puget Sound for the proposed Port Angeles and eastern railway. Mayor Weisenberger of New Whatcom, who has frequently been mentioned as a candidate for governor, has announced himself as a silver man and an expansionist. Hugh Crockett, a nephew of the famous Davy Crockett, who has been a resident of Pierce county since 1852, was committed to the Steilacoom asylum last week at Tacoma. He has no relatives in this part of the country so far as known."
