Abstract

A couple hundred envelopes from a variety of senders, including Yakima Agency, Ft. Simcoe, Wash, Washington State Library, friends and acquaintances like Roscoe Sheller and Jimmie James, and the first official airmail flight from Toppenish, Washington, on the Yakima Indian Reservation. Some have hand-drawn art on them--primarily the letters from Jimmie James--some still have the contents inside, some are special issue, and some are collected, and from earlier periods, but the majority were sent to Click Relander, and date from his lifetime. These letters do not seem to have been saved for their stamps. There is, however, a large envelope full of special stamps and airmail envelopes that were clearly saved or collected for their stamps. This box has not been digitized, but is available to view in person by appointment. Please use the 'contact us' link at the bottom of the page for any questions.
