Abstract
"Considerable disappointment is felt by local wheelmen, over the refusal of the council at its last meeting to lay an annual tax of $1 on bicycles. They say that Yakima's streets get into a deplorable condition for bicycle travel, through the dry season, when the same might to a great extent might be avoided by sprinkling. Yakima is a great bicycle town they say and should be kept abreast of other towns in the state in all that make bicycle travel pleasant."
