Abstract

Issued by The United States Flag Association, in Washington, D. C. Rules for displaying the flag, and occasions when it should be displayed. Of particular note are the "pledge to the flag" which does not make mention of God, and the direction to extend the right hand, "palm upward, toward the Flag and this position is held to the end. After the words, 'justice for all,' the hand drops to the side." This is pre-WWII and reminiscent of the Nazi salute. The back cover has the 48 stars, at the time, and which star is for which state. Illustrations throughout.
