Abstract
"About 1875 he sold his transfer business and began to farm. After a few years he sold his farm and started for the Territory of Washington and reached the Yakima Valley about 1877 and settled on the Ahtanum. A few years later he decided to re-enter the transfer business and chose the Dalles Oregon as his location. He again sold his transfer business and returning to the Yakima Valley he became one of the pioneer sheep men, having several thousand head."
