Abstract
Jasper Johnson, Union Gap school principal and Rural Library Association secretary, stands hat in hand in the doorway of the Union Gap library as a crowd of students comes to borrow books. At Johnson's left are Miss Lois Colley, clerk in the association's Yakima office; Mrs. D.H. Brown, Union Gap librarian; Miss Carol Trimble, head rural librarian; and Miss Adeline Huwaldt, assistant rural librarian.
