Abstract
Created by George F. Cram, whose eponymously named company remained in business from 1867 through 2012 as a leading map firm and the first American firm to publish a world atlas. It employed a relief process. "Geographical, astronomical, historical. Showing the greatest number of Maps of any Atlas published in the World. Containing a complete Gazetteer showing all the Cities, Towns, Villages and Post Offices in the United States. This great work is especially prepared for the Pacific Coast States and is compiled from the latest and most authentic sources." Only three maps have been digitized, but it is available to view in its entirety by appointment.
