Abstract
Discusses the complex ferry problem and gives the history of the situation. "In the first place, no satisfactory answer to the transportation needs of the Puget Sound area will be accomplished until this magnificent body of water is adequately bridged." And later, "the State is preparing to operate certain vital ferry routes across Puget Sound in order to assure the people in this area that their transportation service will not be arbitrarily interrupted or their rates unjustifiably high."
