Relander sends money to purchase a psychology book, Emotional Problems of Living, and a billing slip for the Yakima Treaty Centennial booklet and Strangers on the Land to Bill Todd, with Shorey's Book Store. Relander also lets Todd know that he has referred people to Shorey's, to buy copies of the books, and also that Strangers on the Land is not going to be reissued.
