Abstract

Information about the Wanapum's graveyard sent to Dr. Douglas Osborne, curator of anthropology with Washington State Museum. Relander has a meeting in Ephrata coming up, and will discuss Dr. Osborne excavating graves that are not modern. The Wanapums are cooperative, but there is less to dig there than other places, which Relander mentions. He also says that the Wanapums are lukewarm about naming a dam after them. Discussion of the rock paintings, and efforts to move them. Relander was recently elected curator of the Washington State Historical Society, but doesn't feel the rocks should be removed to them, plus, the Wanapums don't want them removed. Description of the part he played in the first foods feast. Discussion of changes made to Drummers and Dreamers. Last words cut off the bottom of the final sheet.
